At Treworgy Family Orchards, we’re all about community and agriculture. We get a lot of requests for donations and are eager to help when we can. If you are interested in requesting a donation please read our guidelines below and submit an application. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

In general…

• We desire to support causes that align with our mission of supporting our local community and agriculture. Please share with us how your cause aligns with our mission.

• Since we’re farmers, we don’t know if we can cover all our bills until the crops are harvested. Therefore we aren’t in a position to make cash donations until the end of the year. All our cash giving is to non-profits that align with our mission and values. For the last few years we’ve been able to give over $10,000 a year to the following organizations and then some.

  • ECHO - educates third world farmers with sustainable farming methods 

  • Bangor Land Trust - preserves local land and habitat

  • Maine 4-H Foundation - connects youth with agriculture

  • Levant Recreation - provides team sports opportunities for local kids

• Since our guests expect us to have produce until the end of the season, we prefer to donate produce at the end of October. We donate leftover apples and squash to local food pantries, but can’t commit to large produce donations before that time. 

• We prefer to give “in-kind” gifts such as maze tickets for use in your fundraising efforts and are happy to mail these to you.
