Farm Camp for ages 13-15

Imagine your young teen growing in self-awareness, taking responsibility, and gaining practical leadership skills while participating in the great Farm Camp environment. Experience life on the farm where there’s no difference between fun and work and character is grown alongside the rest of the crops.

What is Learn 2 Lead Teens?

Learn 2 Lead Teens is for teen campers ages 13-15 and is designed to give them experiences which prepare them for life and their first real job by giving them the skills they need to lead themselves and others in the context of farm camp. Campers will have the opportunity to learn about leadership and have leadership opportunities in our day camp program, care for animals, work with campers at the same time participate in camper activities. This is a limited openings program.

How is this different from Farm Camp for younger kids?

Learn 2 Lead Teens takes place in the context of Farm Camp, but gives these older kids more responsibility and more freedom than the younger campers. Each day they learn an aspect of leadership and have the opportunity to practice this within their group. They will be expected to be an exemplary role model for the younger campers which gives them opportunities to practice leadership and they are given more freedom to spend more time with the animals and each other.

What are the dates and times?

Learn 2 Lead Teens will be offered the following weeks of 2024:

June 17-21 / June 24-28 / July 1-3 (3 day week)

July 8-12 / July 15-19 / July 22-26

July 29-Aug 2 / August 5-9 / August 12-16

Daily drop off is at 8:30am and pickup is at 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Please plan to come 15 minutes early on the first day to fill out paperwork and plan to come on Friday afternoon at 4pm to participate in the weekly “Farm Parade” in which your teen will demonstrate their animal handling skills. Thirty minute early and late drop off is available and can be coordinated with the Camp Director for an additional $15 per camper per session.

What is the cost?

The cost is $495 for 2024 per week. Cancellation and refund policy is the same as Farm Camp.
