Farm Camp & Education
Q& A
Farm Camp & Education on the Farm directly embody the mission and vision by creating hands-on agricultural experiences that invite people into meaningful work, real food, and shared life on the land. Through immersive learning, campers and participants cultivate not only crops, but also relationships—with one another, with the land, and with God. These programs provide space for community to form naturally through working side by side, stewarding creation, and reflecting on the deeper purpose behind the work. In this way, Farm Camp & Educational programming bear lasting fruit, helping people reconnect to what truly matters and fostering spiritual, relational, and agricultural growth that reflects the heart of the mission and vision.

Each summer program (Tadpoles, Farm Camp, Garden 2 Table, L2L Teens) abides by its own individual schedule. Our programs follow the seasons, and although similar each week, they are not exactly the same. For example, the variety of jam that Farm Camp makes depends on the availability of in season berries.

Farm Camp runs from 8:45am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Drop off and pick up will once again be down at the white tent by the pond. If you have visited us during the fall, it is the same entrance (Pember Road). An adult must sign the camper out. If the camper is leaving with anyone other than the parent, please make sure that the person is listed on the camper intake form as someone allowed to pick up, and let Miss Ginny know that someone else will be picking them up. Anyone picking up a child from camp should be prepared to show a driver's license or photo ID and know the password that was assigned prior. This is required for the safety of your child.
We ask that you notify us if your child will be absent.
If you need to pick up your camper early for any reason, please let us know at drop off. We will make every effort to have your camper ready to go when you arrive.

We strive for campers have a successful and enjoyable week at Camp as they navigate transitions, participate in a group setting, and adjust to a new daily routine. Our goal is for every camper to feel supported, have fun, and thrive throughout the week. We are blessed with an incredible staff and are able to work with many campers who have a wide range of abilities and needs. However, our program is not equipped to support severely challenging behaviors or provide one-on-one care. We hope this information helps families determine whether Camp is a good fit for their child at this time.
Campers are most successful when they:
Are using, or beginning to use, basic and safe coping strategies when experiencing frustration, sadness, anger, or other big emotions
Can communicate their basic needs and ask for help when needed
Are able to remain with their group throughout the day with minimal reminders
Can follow simple verbal directions
Manage basic personal hygiene independently, including toileting and handwashing
Demonstrate age-appropriate social and emotional skills, such as respecting personal boundaries, expressing needs, and resolving conflicts peacefully
We encourage you to connect with Miss Ginny to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about your campers time at camp.

On Friday afternoon, the Farm camp program will perform a short parade. This begins at 4:00 p.m.
-
Campers should wear casual clothes that can get dirty: old shorts/pants, shirts, boots and sneakers, appropriate for the weather and activities of Farm Camp. They should also bring a bag lunch, a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, bug spray, and a change of clothes.
On Tuesday morning campers are provided with a Farm Camp T Shirt. We do have each camper wear these shirts as part of our program. They are left at camp each evening, laundered and then taken home on the last day of their week at camp! If your camper is attending multiple weeks, they will only be receiving one tshirt.
-
Beyond fabulous activities, we also provide healthy snacks mid morning and ask campers to bring a bagged lunch every day! When packing your camper’s lunch please keep in mind that your child will be very active throughout the camp day and may require more food than usual. The campers also have soft serve ice cream for afternoon snack.

We ask all campers to actively participate (physically, mentally, and behaviorally) in creating a meaningful experience for themselves and others at camp. Campers who do not contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment will meet with the Farm Camp Director to discuss concerns. The Director and the camper may work together to come up with a behavioral plan, and the camper’s family will be notified.
Any camper who engages in threatening, intimidating, or intentionally harmful behavior toward any person or livestock will be immediately removed from camp activities. The family will be notified and the camper will be asked to leave Farm Camp.
