Garden to Table Camp

for ages 8-13
Each day we’ll plant or harvest herbs, flowers and veggies from our garden and learn how to transform them into simple, nutritious, and delicious snacks, meals or products. Campers will pick and wash fresh produce and practice safe knife skills with friendly tools. We will talk about composting food scraps, soil health, and planting and creating with our harvests.
Your young chefs will develop and test garden-based recipes.
By the end of the week, they will leave with new kitchen skills, a deeper connection to where food comes from, and plenty of inspiration to help out at home with cooking! Bon appétit!

This is a 9 week day camp program. Daily drop off is at 8:30am and pickup is at 4:00pm Monday through Friday. How is this different from the other Farm Camp programs?
Garden 2 Table Camp takes place in the context of Farm Camp, but is garden & creating centered. It lends these young chefs the opportunity to learn, test and become more confident in their gardening & creating skills. With their own activities and projects, they will be expected to work with their group to carry out these tasks.
