Treworgy Family Orchard Mask & Costume Policy
Purpose
Our farm welcomes creativity and fun, but we also prioritize safety, comfort, and a wholesome family friendly environment for guests of all ages. This policy outlines what kinds of masks and costumes are allowed, and where/when they can be worn.
1. General Guidelines
Family-Appropriate Content: Costumes must be non-violent, non-scary, and free from offensive, sexual, or graphic content.
Full Face Coverage: Full-face masks, full head helmets, or full-head costumes (including fursuits and inflatables covering the face) are not allowed. Partial masks which do not entirely cover the face (e.g.: COVID masks, masquerade masks, etc.) are acceptable.
Visibility & Mobility: Costumes must allow safe walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven ground without tripping or obstructing vision.
No Weapons: Props resembling weapons—real or fake—are prohibited.
2. Special Considerations for Animal & Agricultural Safety
Interaction with Animals: Animal-themed full-body costumes may cause stress to equines and are prohibited within direct line of sight of the horses. Other full-body costumes are permitted, but may be evaluated by staff on a case by case basis to reduce equine stress.
Farm Equipment Areas: Bulky costumes are not permitted near tractors or machinery.
5. Staff Authority
Our staff will:
Ask guests to remove masks or modify costumes if they pose a safety concern, are inappropriate for a family audience, or cause distress to animals or visitors.
Remove guests who do not comply.
