Photography at the Farm

We love to share our beautiful farm with folks and this is a great place for professional photographers to take photos of clients. Because we are a working farm and are operating a hospitality business, we ask that all professional, part-time, and amateur photographers and their clients understand and adhere to the following policies and rules to ensure the safety and great experiences for all our guests.  

General Rules

  • Photography is only allowed during regular business hours in the parts of the farm that are currently open for customers. For example you are not allowed in the apple orchard until fall and you can’t go into the Christmas tree fields until Christmas season. We are a working farm and some locations may be unavailable at some times. If you're unsure where you're allowed to go please check with the staff.

  • We like to keep the farm experience positive for our other guests so we ask that you do not block off areas, hinder people flow, or set up large props or large equipment like light reflectors/diffusers that will interfere with other people’s farm experience.

  • We also have a no-solicitation policy. Photographers are free to arrange sessions and meet here, but please no setting out signs or arranging sessions here.

  • Respect the work and space of other photographers who may be around the farm

  • Make sure your clients know where to meet and share phone numbers.

  • Parking is only allowed in the main lots. Absolutely no vehicles are allowed in the fields or along public roads at any time, even just temporarily. We recommend bringing a wagon or cart if you have more equipment than you can carry.

  • Drones and drone photography are not allowed unless you have emailed us a photo of a current and valid FAA pilot’s license. We are within a mile of Griffin airfield so pilots have a spotter and use extreme caution. Many small aircraft frequent this area to see the corn maze.

Christmas Season photography

  • We do not require reservations during the regular season, however we do require reservations and the advance payment of an $80 per hour fee for all photography sessions during the Christmas season. There is a minimum one hour reservation required. This is due to the limited parking. If this doesn’t work for you we recommend contacting some of the other great tree farms in the area.

  • Both professional and amateur photographers must follow this policy and have a reservation. If you are at the farm during Christmas season taking photos you must have a reservation. This applies to single appointments with individual clients and multi-client mini-sessions. Informal photos you personally take of your own family while visiting are of course allowed and encouraged.

  • Angie Cousins Photography is our partner photographer and she has the right to select her location. All other photographers may select a location on a first come basis. Please do not interfere with the background of other photographers.

  • We prefer that the photographer make the reservation but the client may book as well. Both parties must be aware of these policies and rules.

  • We reserve the right to limit the number of photographers on any given day or time-frame. This ensures that we do not have too many photographers at once or that your shoot does not coincide with any farming activities, private events, or other conflicts.

  • This online reservation system is the only way to book your session - you cannot do this when you arrive. Please do not call or email the farm for permission. You will be directed back to this site.

  • Hours are dependent on seasonal daylight. The reservation system reflects the hours available for shoots. Please be aware of daylight hours and book accordingly.

  • Photographers may arrive up to 30 minutes early to set up their shoot (no charge)

  • The maximum group size is 10 people.

  • Photography is limited to the Christmas tree fields and outside the farm buildings only. Please stay out of the woods.

  • There is no indoor space available. Photographers and clients must remain outside of all buildings.

  • There are no refunds after booking your session. If you need to reschedule (bad weather, illness, etc.) you can do so by purchasing a new session and requesting a cancelation of our original purchase by emailing info@treworgyorchards.com. No refunds for cancellations or no-shows.
