How to Pick an Apple
It’s easy!
- Choose a Cortland or Macintosh tree, or try both.
- Look for apples that are nice and firm.
- Roll the apple upwards and twist it off the branch. Try not to pull it straight toward you.
- Twist gently to help keep the other apples on the tree. If some apples do fall, put them in your bag too! They’re just fine and shouldn’t be wasted.
Pick as many as you want! When you’re done, we’ll weigh your bag. A full peck-size bag weighs about 10 lbs. and a half-peck bag about five lbs.
