Cortland apples
Identify them…
- Sweet and a little tart
- Juicy
- Tender, snow white flesh
Use them…
- Great for snacks, salads, sauce, pies, and baking
- Freeze well

Tip…
- Cortlands are great for kabobs, in fruit plates, and as garnishes because they don’t turn brown quickly when cut.
Mcintosh apples
Identify them…
- Sweet and tangy
- Very juicy
- Tender, white flesh
Use them…
- Eat them or make a yummy applesauce
- Great for salads and pies
Find them…
- September through June
Tip…
- McIntosh apples cook down fast, so it's best to add a thickener when making pies.
